Most of us were raised eating plenty of cooked foods. We ate boxed processed foods, fast foods, foodsRaw Food Weight Loss with preservatives, artificial flavors and colors. Overtime that sort of eating wears on our body and causes many conditions. One of the conditions that come from overeating and consuming the wrong foods is being overweight.

This is an epidemic that is taking its toll on society. There is a crisis and many just don’t know what to do. I feel that an answer can be found in raw foods or becoming a full fledged raw foodie.

Raw foods help to promote weight loss and maintain a healthy weight if done using the proper techniques. That means eating well balanced meals that will provide your body with all you need to reach your best possible health peak.

A diet high in raw foods, especially fruits and vegetables help to promote weight loss for a number of reasons. They are low in unhealthy fat, low in calories, high in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, and raw foods help you to eliminate waste quickly. They also aid in weight loss because they help reduce cravings for sweets, keeps your energy steady so that you don’t overeat from because you are too hungry or become tired because you are eating too many dead foods.

When you eat foods that are high in nutrients and low in calories, you will lose excess fat at a more rapid rate.

By incorporating more raw foods into your diet you will be able to exercise more effectively, think more clearly about what you putting in your body, and have a mental state of mind that will help you know that your health is important.

Eating more raw foods actually turns on your body’s metabolism at the cellular level and regulates hormones that help to control appetite so that you don’t eat what your body does not need. You are able to digest the foods better, allowing your hunger to decrease as well as the cravings for the bad food that packed on all the unwanted weight. Without all the toxic chemicals in your body that existed when you consumed high far processed foods, your body is able to rid the waste and stop holding on to unwanted fat cells that accumulate over time, causing weight gain.

It has been stated in many farming magazine that if you want a cow or pig to gain weight you feed them more cooked foods. It you want them thin give them more live raw foods. When you think about that fact it really makes you think that maybe we are doing this cooked food thing all wrong. The real way to release unwanted pounds is not through the fat-free, sugar-free, low calorie foods that permeate the food industry. Even people on that type of diet are encouraged to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables. If you really want to drop the weight, pick up a raw carrot or two and start eating.

Angela Stokes – This is the gal that actually introduced me to the concept of raw foods. Before that time I had only heard of it in passing but Angela’s warmth and her experiences with raw foods sucked me right in. Oddly enough the one other person who really inspired me other than Angela was a raw foodie named Matt Monarch and I later found out that these two wereraw weight loss book engaged. Anyway Angela lost over 150 pounds on the raw diet!

  1. Thanks for this article. I have come to realize that I must add a great deal more raw to my diet because all the cooked foods is keeping this sistah FAT! I eat good but because it is mostly cooked the weight goes down slowly. I am not getting fatter but I have to do something.

    So many wonderful things to say about Raw Vegan. I have loads of clients who have lost weight with it, stopped taking blood pressure medication, gotten out of a pre-diabetic state and so much more with Raw Vegan. It’s amazing :)

  5. I was amazed at how much weight dropped off so quickly while 100% raw. I’m about 80% right now and I miss the wonderful feeling that you always have on raw. I think after our huge bike tour I’ll be able to consume a higher amount of completely raw.

  6. The funny thing about diets and weightloss plans are their are so many and all do not work for everyone. The thing that you have to do is to keep trying different plans until you find the one that gets you the results you are looking for.

    The most important thing is to keep on trying and you will find it.

    If you check out enough diet sites you will find certain things that run through all of them and these generally are the things that you use to create your diet foundation.

    I kept on searching until I found one that would allow me to eat whatever I wanted and still get in shape. I also shared this with some other people who thank me daily.

    Keep trying and don’t stop!

  7. I agree raw food is very good for you because of all the natural minerals and being high in fibre.
    But whether I could just eat raw produce everyday is another matter, I do enjoy fish and meat as well.

  9. have cucumber. tomato, cabbage, apples, watermelons and all fruits except mangoes and bananas.
    but dont eat JUST raw food. it might help u to lose fast but not permanently. it will definitely bounce back, so get a balanced diet.
    U may try the general motors diet wich includes raw foood to a great extent.
    This program is designed for a target weight loss of 10-17 lbs per week. It will also improve your attitudes and emotions because of its cleansing systematic effects.

    The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the food eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value.

    This plan can be used as often as you like without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter because you will be lighter by at least 10 lbs. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition.

    During the first seven days you must abstain from all alcohol
    You must drink 10 glasses of water each day

    Day One – All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consist of all the fruits you want. It is strongly suggested that you consume lots of melons the first day. Especially watermelon and a loupe. If you limit your fruit consumption to melons, your chances of losing three lbs. on first day are very good.

    Day Two – All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the raw or cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the amount or type. For your complex carbohydrate, you will start day two with a large baked potato for breakfast. You may top the potato with one pat of butter.

    Day Three – A mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet. No potatoes today.

    Day Four – Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. This will be combined with the special soup which may be eaten in limited quantities.

    Day Five – Today is feast day. You will eat beef and tomatoes. Eat two 10 oz. portions of lean beef. Hamburger is OK. Combine this with six whole tomatoes. On day five you must increase your water intake by one quart. This is to cleanse your system of the uric acid you will be producing.

    Day Six – Beef and vegetables. Today you may eat an unlimited amount of beef and vegetables. Eat to your hearts content.

    Day Seven – Today your food intake will consist of brown rice, fruit juices and all the vegetables you care to consume.

    Beverages you may consume while on the program :

    Water (flavoured with lemon/lime if desired).
    Club Soda is OK.
    Black Coffee. No cream or cream substitute. No sugar or sweetness.
    Green Tea = Herb or Leaf.
    Absolutely nothing else except the fruit juices which are part of day seven. No fruit juices before day seven

  12. You wanna take weight loss pills for only 20lb u wanna get rid of? Be serious, cut the snacks at work, use the elevator instead if the stairs, take the bus home, walk in the park during weekends, and you`ll see results. You can count your calories. I use the diet and fitness planner at belmos.com – it`s real good, has lots a meals to choose from and helps you see how much you eat and now much you burn. All u have to do is to keep what you burn on top of what you eat.
