A good raw food detox diet is based on the premise that if a person stays away from foods that are cookedGreens at 115 degrees or higher that they will lose their nutrients is not new.  Many people are running with this raw food detox diet for healthier food intake that isn’t void of natural ingredients or nutrients.  It is also an excellent way to rid your body of toxins and keep your body at a good healthy weight.

Raw food detox is based on eating raw plant food and foods that are low in animal proteins - even dairy.  Unprocessed, whole foods and uncooked fruits and veggies should be a major part of your raw food detox diet.  Cooked food is believed to rid our foods of good enzymes and disrupts our metabolism, however; some meats and dairy are included in the first and second levels of the raw food detox diet while your body is transitioning.

Other parts of the raw food detox is not mixing your starches like brown rice and whole grain bread with fresh fruits at the same time.  The raw food detox diet also recommends colon cleansing through natural enemas or by a professional therapist.  While not a totally Vegan diet (think honey), almost every element of the raw food detox diet consists of plant-based foods with very little meats and dairy products and sometimes none at all.  Only a small amount of cooked food is acceptable.

To begin raw food detox, start with throwing away your bad foods like cereals, white breads and rice, and pastas.  Add whole food like grains, honey, fresh veggies, and fruits.  During the processing of eliminating the bad stuff, you will also introduce more whole and fresh foods until you are completely free of processed food. Avoiding the mixing of certain foods as mentioned above, is also introduced when starting raw food detox.

There are many rules and levels to raw food detox so make sure you talk to an expert in the field and read some books on the subject.  Your goal will be to increase the amount of raw foods and deleting any harmful or bad foods.  Instead of having your big meal in the morning, with raw food detox, it is recommended to have your larger meal at the dinner hour and only consuming fresh fruits and veggies throughout the day. Another careful rule is to choose when you eat your starches, meats, nuts, and dried fruits. In raw food detox, this should be done a few hours apart from fresh fruits and veggies.

A drink of green lemonade, which can be made in your home and the recipe for this and other, recommended foods can be found in any raw food detox book.  Remember, your goal on this diet is to rid your colon and body of toxins that are harmful to your body and clean out your system for optimal functionability.

People who have completed and continue to utilize raw food detox can feel that poisons being depleted from their bodies and have claimed to feel refreshed and healthy as well as having high energy and brainpower.

Because there are so many levels and rules on the raw food detox diet and it may require purchasing varied and more expensive items than you are used to, so be sure and talk to a good natural nutritionist who is knowledgeable about the diet and what will work best for your weight and height.  You don’t want to go too fast if you are very overweight or too slow if you body is already used to many fresh fruits and vegetables.

Colon cleansing is not new for a healthier you, however, the raw food detox diet is a more effective and natural way to help your through this process instead of the harsh chemical way that can be ineffective, cause infections, and may not produce the expected results you are looking for.
